About Us

The Hilo Woman’s Club was founded in January 1921. For over 100 years, strong and dedicated women spearheaded various educational, social, and civic development projects for the Hilo area: A thrift shop, art events, beautification projects to several public spaces, projects partnered with other Civic groups on various community endeavors, and they established a scholarship program for East Hawaii female (and male) high school students which is still in effect to this day. Membership fees are modest and the return on community service is priceless.
